Financial Aid and the Application Process 

If you will be receiving financial aid, you still must submit your initial $375 payment with your signed and completed License Agreement documents. Students should keep in mind that financial aid disbursements are not made until just before classes begin. Since housing spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-serve, space-available basis depending upon when we receive and process your completed License Agreement documents and initial payment, you should plan on making the initial $375 payment using your own funds. If you are waiting for the disbursement of student loan funds, you are responsible for making all payments due until those funds become available. Complete your loan process early.

If you are a new undergraduate SDSU student for fall 2014, a California resident, from a family with low income, and you have applied for financial aid, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will notify you via your AidLink account if you are eligible to postpone the initial payment.  Log on to AidLink to check your financial aid status. All questions regarding postponement eligibility should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
