Tarastec is an apartment-style community for sophomore students. Tarastec offers 1 and 2 bedroom units with double and single-occupancy rooms. Room types are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. The license agreement period for Tarastec is 9 months (academic year). This apartment is located on the west side of campus near the Tony Gwynn Stadium. Residents of Tarastec are permitted to occupy their room during university break periods.
Ancient Aztec Meaning
Tzintzuntzan meaning “place of hummingbirds” was the capital of the Purépecha state (also called the Tarascan state).
