Your safety is our top priority. We encourage you to review the following safety information and reminders.
All residents that have a License Agreement are required to have their SDSUcard to enter their residence hall or apartment. Each living area has a desk to maintain the safety and security of residents.
SDSU Police Department
The SDSU Police Department works hard to ensure that everyone in the campus community is aware of safety issues that may affect them.
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911. In the event of an emergency, updates will be posted at Urgent Campus Information.

SDSU has established a text notification system that is capable of sending text (also known as SMS) and e-mail messages in the event of a campus-wide emergency or health and safety concern. It is not intended to supplant any personal emergency contact information you may have provided to Human Resources.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Campus Records Access
Under FERPA, Students at San Diego State University may have access to their educational records. This includes nearly all information maintained by the university which is directly related to the student. In most cases, an educational record that’s “directly related to a student,” consists of grades and attendance information.
