  • Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 26, 2025 - Nov. 30, 2025
  • Semester Break: Dec. 18, 2025 - Jan. 19, 2026
  • Spring Break: March 27, 2026 - April 5, 2026

Open During Breaks

Residents of the communities listed below are permitted to occupy their room during university break periods. For safety and security, residents will be asked to register for housing over the break prior to each university break period to ensure access to their space.

Closed During Breaks

Residents in the communities listed below are NOT permitted to occupy their room during university break periods. Residents in these communities must vacate their room during the university break periods according to the terms outlined in the License Agreement

FAQs

Yes, if your current building is closed during university break periods, you can submit a Room Switch Request to be permanently reassigned to a building that remains open during university breaks. Be sure to submit your request as early as possible to help us accommodate your needs.

No, there are no additional costs associated with housing over the break.

Yes, all residents will be required to complete a Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Break Form on the Housing Portal prior to each break period. On the form, you must indicate your departure and return dates (if applicable) and acknowledge the policies and procedures.

No, whether your building is open or closed during the breaks, you may leave your personal belongings in your room, suite or apartment. We recommend that you take your ID, passport, medications and any valuable items with you.
