Room Switch Requests

2026-27 First-Year Students

First-year students for the 2026-27 academic year may request a room or building change by completing the online Pre-Occupancy Room Switch Request Form. Pre-occupancy room switch requests will be processed from July 10 to July 31. To access the form, you must use your SDSU email account. Only one request is permitted per resident. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, options are limited, and a room switch cannot be guaranteed. 

There is a $30 processing charge for pre-occupancy room or building changes that are accommodated. For changes or questions about room switch requests, email [email protected].

2026-27 Sophomore and Upper-Division Residents

Sophomores and upper-division students for the 2026-27 academic year may request a room or building change by completing the Pre-Occupancy Room Switch Request Form. Pre-occupancy room switch requests will be processed from April 7 to July 31. To access the form, sign in to your SDSU email account. Only one request is permitted per resident. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, options are limited, and a room switch cannot be guaranteed.

The Post-Occupancy Room Switch Request Form for the 2025-26 academic year is now closed. 

There is a $100 processing charge for post-occupancy room or building changes that are accommodated.
