Nonrefundable Fees

The below fees will appear as separate charges on the first scheduled payment. The fees are included in the total cost of the license agreement and are not an additional charge. If the licensee does not want to pay either optional fee, the licensee must notify the Office of Housing Administration in writing with the completed license agreement.

ARC Membership Fee

Included in the first scheduled payment is a nonrefundable recreation fee of $140 for the academic year ($179 for 11.5-month license agreement), which entitles the licensee to membership to the on-campus Aztec Recreation Center (ARC).

Activity Fee

Included in the first scheduled payment is a nonrefundable residence hall activity fee of $25 for the academic year. This fee entitles the licensee to educational and social programs, and access to recreational equipment provided by the Residence Hall Association (RHA).

Service Fee

A nonrefundable service charge of $40 is included in the total cost. Credit balances accumulated throughout the academic year will not be refunded but will be applied toward any outstanding balances on your university account or credited toward your next payment. Rates are subject to change by the Trustees of the CSU (Aztec Shops, Ltd., in the case of meal plans).

Financial Aid

Apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1 and check AidLink regularly after you apply. Financial aid may be used to help pay your educational expenses, influencing the cost of living on campus.

If you are required to live on campus the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will receive that information automatically. Deferment of the $375 non refundable initial payment is available to some students receiving financial aid. If you have financial aid funds remaining after your tuition and fees have been paid, the remaining aid will be credited to your housing bill.

For questions regarding financial aid, contact Financial Aid and Scholarships at (619) 594-6323.
